Casa Marina Wedding

Published August 23rd, 2018 by Designereventsadmin

When Gary and Ashley contacted D'Asigner Events, Florida Keys Wedding Planners, their original intent was to have a beach wedding on their beachfront estate. Hurricane Irma had other plans for them. Due to the destruction of the landscaping, the couple decided to move the festivities to the Casa Marina, Waldorf Astoria in Key West.

We had less than 4 months to plan their extravagant wedding...but we were up to the task! 1st order of business....create shade on the beach for their guests. Hurricane Irma also destroyed many of the palm trees and shade trees on the beach of Casa Marina, Here was our solution: A gorgeous white "catwalk" to the round arch covered in white orchids. Clear ghost chairs complemented the ocean backdrop.

Next, we needed to consult with the PSAV team from Casa Marina. The Bride wanted to create a glamorous white and gold wedding complete with draping and special lighting effects...check. The walls of the Flagler ballroom were covered in white draping and crystal beading. Outside, the cocktail area was covered with special "water drop" lights and hundreds of white orchids hung from the installed ceiling.

Inside the ballroom, specialty furniture was brought in to create a very memorable and glamorous wedding reception.
